Sleep or Die

“I’ll sleep when I’m dead” is such a weird flex.

It’s essentially saying resting your body is not a priority. But why? WHY????

You need rest so much that one of two things will happen if you don’t prioritize sleep. You’ll either get sick or you’ll die. Yes die. But let’s not dwell on that. 💀

Newsflash: You are worthy of rest, and if you have strength goals, you NEED it.

Instead of saying “I don’t have time to sleep” try “I don’t have time to get sick.” When you choose not to get a proper amount of sleep, you are prioritizing exposing yourself to illness. 🤢

And let’s face it, if you don’t have time to sleep you certainly don’t have time to get sick. 🤮

According to the Mayo Clinic the recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don’t need more than eight hours in bed to be well rested. It’s true that some people need more or less, but get curious about it. Try to find what amount of sleep helps you feel your best.

With an appropriate amount of sleep you’ll preform better, you’ll be less cranky and you’ll have the energy to do the things you really want to be present for.

Get some sleep; change your life. 💤
